May 1st I celebrate my grandmothers memory. A woman who raised me, in ways I now have come to truly appreciate. Her words resonate, her voice still fresh in my mind even though 13 years have passed since her passing. In my mind she’s still there in the aroma of each flower that I pass. Her favorites were jasmine and lilacs. Yesterday I took the full day not only to celebrate her memory but the privilege of having access to a healthy mind and body. After the year we’ve had, it’s no small thing. I’m GRATEFUL, for the little things. True friendships, my family, this breathtaking public garden in the heart of a strong city, the ability to experience beauty in the little things. That matters. Happy MAY. Happy spring, in health.
